Anyone (or group) is free to shun anyone (or group) as they wish.

As long as you remain a member of a group that practices religiously mandated shunning - you are obliged to accept your cults ecclesiastic authority to both shun and to be shunned in accordance with the dogma you yourself support as a member.

The mistake JWs make is not quietly quitting the cult in advance of the cults judicial actions requiring the members participation in such distasteful acts. You join the Nazi party - you are obligated to act like a Nazi.

A judicial committee cannot be formed in respect to a former member. And you are legally free to quit any religion at any time you chose.

Stop making targets of yourselves - quit the f-----g cult now. Make a written record of the date to show the hounders when they finally track you down - they have no authority over you unless you grant it to them.

Dissociate vs. Dissasociation

Dissociate is a term referring to separating oneself from psychologic trauma and abuse. The connotation of

mentally leaving, disconnect, sever, cut off, separate, divorcing oneself from trauma and anguish..

It is a synonym for disassociate - no longer enjoying the company of, or being associated as an underling of an organization or bussiness.

Watchtower is accustomed to letters of disassociation, when really we wish to dissociate in spirit as well as body.

Tax Free havens specialize in Captive Insurance Companies- Watchtower is certain to be doing this scam.

They have millions of dollars so they self-insure with a company that they themselves own .

They tell the poor slobs at the kingdumb hall that they need to pay for insurance every year, so tens of thousands of congregations pay millions of dollars year after year and the Watchtower gives the impression they are forwarding the premiums to an insurance company nobody has ever heard of.

In fact the yearly millions go straight into one of their own bank accounts which appears to be an insurance company with only one "customer" - themselves.

The advantage of off-shore is secrecy. Give some of your cult friends a credit card based on the off-shore account and no-one in another country will ever know as the paper work all goes back to the off-shore phony bank.

i'm not ready to share everything about my story, but the basics are that i'm a born-in, elder's kid, baptized as a teenager because i was tired of hearing people ask me "all your friends are baptized, when are you going to get baptized?

Movies/Books for Cult Survivors

for me, there have always been special movies or scenes in movies that trigger my old jw experience (fiddler on the roof and little mermaid touched me deeply when i watched them as a young jw).

later as a survivor, it was more donnie darko, thx 1138 themes that struck me in particular.. anyway, looking for suggestions on great movies, books (art of any kind, really) that especially speak to or move you as a jw survivor?

How much sediment would have been moved in Noah's flood?

they say this crater was created by an asteroid about 50,000 years ago.

then about 6000 years ago, presumably, god wiped out all life on earth with a global flood.. how much sediment would have been moved around during that flood.

2000 years ago there was a mountain so high that all the kingdoms of the earth could be seen from it. Jesus and an old buddy went up there to have a looky-see .

Question - where is that mountain and what is its' name? - I'd like to see it too.
